Wall Street Edges Closer to Record as Oil Prices and Yields Ease
Wall Street's main indexes continued their upward trend on Monday, with the S&P 500 jumping by 1.5% and pulling within 0.4% of its all-time high.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 0.7%, while the Nasdaq composite climbed 2.3%, led by gains in chip stocks.
The easing of pressure on oil prices and bond yields contributed to the rally, with Brent oil dropping back towards $100 per barrel and the 10-year Treasury yield falling to 4.95%.
