The latest grain price-spread data from USDA AgTransport shows hard red winter and hard red spring wheat lanes posting the widest positive spreads among reported origin-destination pairs for the week ended Sept. 11.

Montana to Gulf - Texas hard red winter wheat recorded the widest positive spread at 3.31, with an origin bid of 6.28 and a destination bid of 9.59.

This is not just a trend among wheat lanes. Other commodities such as soybeans and corn also saw notable spreads, though they were lower than those seen in wheat.
