Woodside Energy Surpasses Expectations Amid Global Supply Disruptions
Woodside Energy Group reported a significant 27% profit increase in the first half of the year, despite disruptions in global liquefied natural gas and oil supply due to regional conflicts.
The company's net profit reached $1.672 billion, while operating revenue rose 13% to $7.446 billion. However, production volumes fell by 13% to 478,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
Woodside has revised its fiscal 2026 production guidance to between 174 million and 185 million barrels of oil equivalent, reflecting the company's ability to remain agile in navigating an uncertain market environment.
