WTI Prices Stuck Near Lows Amid Hormuz Shipping Uncertainty

West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil prices are hovering near three-week lows as traders wait for confirmation that commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz will resume.

Iran and Oman have reached an understanding on the geographic coordinates of a proposed shipping route, but Iran's Foreign Ministry notes that 'third parties' must not interfere with the agreement.

An informed source told Fars News that an agreement between Iran and Oman would not automatically reopen the Strait, as separate arrangements are still required, including US commitments.
