WTI oil prices continued their downward trend on Monday, dipping to around $93.60 per barrel during Asian hours.

The decline follows growing hopes that diplomatic efforts may soon bring an end to the Middle East conflict and restore stable energy flows from the region.

US President Donald Trump's statement that he would 'probably' be open to meeting Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York this week has contributed to these hopes.

The potential encounter, as well as a scheduled summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping, are seen as significant factors in easing tensions.
