Yemen Reroutes Eight Saudi Oil Tankers Around Africa

The Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) have rerouted eight Saudi oil tankers around Africa, in response to tightening restrictions on Saudi oil vessels.

The action follows a declaration by the YAF that Saudi vessels sailing to and from Saudi ports would face a maritime ban as part of a reciprocal response to a long-running blockade imposed on Yemen.

This move is aimed at consolidating the 'blockade for blockade' equation, said Brigadier General Yahya Saree in a statement.
