Zelenskyy: Ukraine Seeks Separate Agreements for Grain Logistics, Energy Infrastructure
Ukraine is open to negotiating a mutual halt in strikes on grain logistics and energy infrastructure with Russia, but Kyiv insists that the two areas be addressed separately.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that ending Ukrainian strikes on Russian energy facilities cannot be a condition for Russia to stop attacks on Ukrainian ports and grain exports.
Zelenskyy noted that Russia increased its attacks on Ukraine's grain corridor after Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil facilities, the shadow fleet, and the port of Novorossiysk.
Ukraine proposes applying the principle of reciprocity separately to each sector: Russia would stop attacking Ukrainian ports, vessels, and food export routes in exchange for Ukraine refraining from strikes on Russian grain logistics.
