0G Compute Finance Launches Ascend Liquid Staking Path
On September 21, 2026, 0G Compute Finance went live with its concept and product. The same day, they shipped Ascend, a liquid staking path that turns locked 0G into an AI claim called a0G. This claim can then be used to earn usable inference rather than token interest.
The return on this investment is in AI compute credit, which grants metered access to models and apps on the 0G product surface. However, the question remains whether staked capital can actually convert into inference that people and decentralized AI agents spend.
Ascend is live now as the entry point. Users stake 0G and receive a0G, allowing them to keep their capital usable in DeFi while keeping the underlying 0G locked. The next step is Infinite AI (iAI), which will be launched on September 29 through Ascend. Holders can mint iAI with a0G and then stake eligible iAI to earn compute credits.
These credits unlock supported 0G AI products, including access to over 130 models today via the 0G Private Computer. The project claims that eligible staked iAI should receive compute credits with a usage value of more than $1 per day across supported services. However, this is still an unproven claim and not an audited yield.
