$200k Crypto Meme Coin Rug Pull: Jack Doherty Exposed

Investigative journalist and YouTuber Stephen 'Coffeezilla' recently exposed Jack Doherty for allegedly pulling off a $200,000 rug pull with his meme coin, $JACK. On September 27, 2026, Doherty claimed he would never sell his holdings in the coin on X.

'Looks like I got to do a big giveaway tomorrow since we hit $1m market cap on $JACK,' he said. 'Let's hit $10m by morning and I'll 10x the giveaway amount! RT and let's keep growing this!' However, Coffeezilla revealed that Doherty ultimately sold his holdings, making a profit of about $213,000.

Coffeezilla accused Doherty of exploiting people, saying 'there couldn't be a simpler scam than this.' He pointed out that Doherty bought into the token before it was heavily promoted and then sold when the price increased. This is not the first time Doherty has been involved in such controversy, as Coffeezilla mentioned his previous rug pull with the coin 'McLaren/SOL on Raydium'.

Coffeezilla also criticized Doherty for his actions, saying 'he keeps saying he's never selling, but like gravity, this guy exploits us. He extracts; he takes wealth away.' The YouTuber noted that people were even confronting Doherty in public about the allegations.
