Crypto billionaires Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss have injected $2.9 million into advertising to counter Senate Democratic candidate Sherrod Brown, a populist politician from Ohio.

The latest donation adds to the growing financial firepower being directed at Brown by the crypto industry, which spent around $40 million in 2024 to try to defeat him when he was chair of the Senate Banking Committee.

Despite this significant investment, Brown managed to bounce back and is currently leading in polling against Republican Senator Jon Husted.
