$40 Surge in 5 Days: Can XRP Reach $10?
XRP has surged by 40% in just five days, sparking debate among traders about whether it can reach $10. According to crypto commentator Patel on X, this is not an impossible goal given the asset's history of sudden price movements. In 2017, XRP went from $0.006 to over $3 when many thought it was too high.
Patel pointed out that in November 2024, XRP jumped from $0.50 to $2.60 in just 30 days, a move that seemed improbable at the time. He believes that with its low fees, fast transactions, and growing real-world adoption, XRP is set up for another significant price increase.
Goldman Sachs' re-entry into the XRP market may also be a contributing factor to the asset's recent surge. The investment bank had completely exited its XRP ETF position last quarter but returned aggressively in Q2 2026, becoming the largest holder with $86.5 million across various products.
The XRP ETFs have seen significant inflows, with $13.2 million pouring in on Thursday alone, pushing total assets under management to $1.17 billion and cumulative inflows above $1.53 billion. Ripple has also launched a new institutional credit fund on the XRP Ledger, which may further boost demand for the asset.
