Aave Trading Volume Surges 68% Amid MiCA Reserve Requirements Push

Aave's trading volume has surged 68% despite the current market slump. The increase comes as the decentralized lending protocol continues to attract users. The MiCA public consultation, which closed on September, saw Circle, Aave, and over 50,000 European citizens push for changes in the reserve requirements for yield-bearing deposits. The regulators' position was opposed by the group, who argued that the proposed rules would harm the growth of the decentralized finance (DeFi) sector.

The increase in trading volume is a positive sign for Aave, which has been affected by recent market volatility. In a separate development, Aave founder Stani Kulechov announced that Aave v3 was unaffected by an exploit that drained roughly $305,000 from two Safe multisig wallets.
