Aave's Monad Market Surpasses Expectations with $321m TVL in Just 46 Days
Aave's deployment on the Monad chain has been a resounding success, generating significant revenue and attracting a large user base in just 46 days. The market, which went live on July 2, 2026, with 12 markets live at launch, had already become Aave's third-largest fee generator by this point, outrunning its size.
At the 46-day mark, the market held $321m in total value locked (TVL), ranking fifth among Aave's 21 deployments on Monad. The market also generated the second-highest weekly fees of any protocol on the chain, with $318m drawn against $659m supplied.
What sets this deployment apart is that it did not rely on supply or borrow demand first and hope the other side follows, as most lending markets do. Instead, Monad was already equipped with a deep USDC and USDT0 circulation, yield-bearing dollars, including Maple's syrupUSDC, and risk infrastructure, making it an attractive destination for Aave.
The deployment of Chainlink Smart Value Recapture enabled from day one also helped to route part of liquidation value back to the protocol instead of leaking it to searchers. Additionally, Monad's network performance was optimized with a July 23 upgrade that narrowed the finality window and improved composability with other protocols.
