ADA Token Suffers Heavy Liquidation After Brief Rally
Cardano's ADA token saw a significant jump to $0.235 after a scaling milestone, but the rally was short-lived as prices dropped back down near $0.22 within hours.
Liquidation data from CoinGlass shows that leveraged long positions were heavily hit during this period, with over $689,000 in losses attributed to longs alone in the 12 hours surrounding the drop.
This suggests that retail traders were overly optimistic and got trapped when momentum stalled at buy-side liquidity, leading to a massive liquidation event.
Despite this pullback, ADA's weekly chart still shows a bearish market structure, with lower highs since its peak near $1.32 in 2025, indicating that the trend is still downward.
