Algorand Breaks Trend Lid, Analyst Sees $2.37 Target
Algorand has broken free from a long-standing trend resistance, according to analyst Javon Marks, and the chart is pointing towards a target of $2.37. This comes after the altcoin reclaimed a major resisting trend, which had capped its price for an extended period. Marks notes that once a market clears a trend lid and continues to defend the breakout zone, technicians often treat the old resistance as a potential launchpad rather than a ceiling.
The analyst has been tracking this trend since earlier in the year, when ALGO was pressing what he called major breakout support. At the time, he framed the same zone as a target for more than a 2,100% move, or over 22x. The percentage gap between the latest post and the earlier map simply reflects the higher starting point after the later rebound.
The immediate tell is simpler than the headline target. Hold the breakout and the support bounce, and the bullish count stays alive. Lose the reclaimed zone, and the $2.38 map gets deferred again. Marks is not arguing that Algorand has already delivered the move, but rather that the chart has done the prerequisite work: it broke a major resisting trend, bounced from support, and left a long-standing upside magnet at $2.3781 still on the board.
