AllUnity Launches MiCA-Compliant USD Stablecoin to Challenge Dollar Dominance
AllUnity has launched USDAU, a dollar-pegged stablecoin regulated by the European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework.
The token will maintain a 1:1 peg through segregated reserves and debut on Ethereum, Solana, Base, Tempo, Arc, and Polygon, according to an announcement shared with Cointelegraph.
AllUnity already issues three MiCA-regulated stablecoins: the euro-backed EURAU, the Swiss franc-backed CHFAU, and the Swedish krona-backed SEKAU. The issuer's existing tokens suggest an incremental growth strategy, with CHFAU's market cap at about $45 million, compared with roughly $400,000 for EURAU.
AllUnity Chief Executive Officer Alexander Höptner rejected the idea that the dollar itself poses the central risk to European financial autonomy. Höptner argued that the real concern lies in how dollar liquidity reaches European markets, not in the currency denomination.
