Altcoin Rally Soars as O'Leary Abandons Ethereum Hopes

Kevin O'Leary, also known as 'Mr Wonderful', has shifted his strategy away from holding only Bitcoin and Ethereum. He expects different sectors to choose different blockchains instead of standardizing around one platform.

O'Leary stated that Ethereum is no longer fast or secure enough for every use case. This change in perspective coincides with the altcoin rally, where Near Protocol (NEAR) led the group after gaining over 60%, followed by Arbitrum (ARB) with a gain of over 54%.

Other notable gains include Ethena (ENA), up nearly 49%; Avalanche (AVAX), adding over 40%; Uniswap (UNI), climbing 38%; Zcash (ZEC), gaining nearly 33%; and Injective (INJ) rising 32% over the week.
