Altcoin Season Heats Up as Bitcoin Surges Towards $77,000
Bitcoin has surged towards $77,000 and Ethereum has jumped 20% in a day, closing in on the $2,400 level. As BTC stabilizes and ETH begins to catch up, expectations are heating up that capital will rotate from major coins into high-beta altcoins.
The projects that will truly attract capital inflows from major coins are still those with real users, sustainable protocol revenue, clear token value capture mechanisms, and relatively healthy token distribution structures. The public chain sector is led by SOL, which offers the highest certainty within the sector but is highly volatile and currently underperforming relative to BTC and ETH.
Other notable altcoins include SU, UNI, AAVE, MORPHO, HYPE, LINK, and ONDO. SU has a low circulating supply and moderate concentration of token holdings, while UNI has begun transitioning from a pure governance token to an asset with protocol value capture.
AAVE is one of the most balanced in terms of token distribution and revenue generation, though it has already rallied significantly from the bottom. MORPHO's protocol is growing rapidly but lacks transparency in supply statistics and weak token value capture.
