Amaze Holdings Puts Up $155 Million for Gold-Backed Digital-Asset Infrastructure
Amaze Holdings has entered into a binding Letter of Intent to acquire BullionFX for approximately $155 million in stock. The acquisition, if consummated, would bring Amaze's gold-backed digital-asset infrastructure into the public markets.
The proposed deal would give Amaze control over Alchemy, a decentralized financial ecosystem that uses physical gold as collateral for its stablecoin, $GOLD. This platform is designed to support lending and borrowing protocols, yield products, cross-chain interoperability, and an Ethereum-based Layer 2 network.
Joel Krutz, Interim Chief Executive Officer of Amaze, said the acquisition would create meaningful long-term value for stockholders by bringing a gold-backed financial ecosystem into the public markets. The deal comes amid a broad resurgence in cryptocurrency markets, rapid growth in stablecoin volume, and continued strength in gold as a store of value.
The self-custody retail wallet and yield engines on Alchemy's platform would be activated after closing, with Amaze also planning to pursue a listed Stable Asset Treasury vehicle for gold and USD, subject to regulatory approvals. Stephen Moss, Founder of BullionFX, said joining a publicly listed company like Amaze would give Alchemy the access and institutional credibility needed to accelerate its mission.
