Analyst Predicts Ethereum Could Hit $15,000 in Next Altseason
Ethereum (ETH) is currently trading around $2,740.20, but analyst CryptoPatel has made a bold prediction that the price could surge to $10,000, $15,000 during the next altseason. The forecast is based on a detailed roadmap that aligns Ethereum’s price movements with Bitcoin’s four-year halving cycle, suggesting a potential cycle top near $16,000 in 2027-2028.
The analyst’s two-week chart highlights major resistance levels, with the first significant hurdle at $3,945. A break above this could put $8,000 and $10,000 on the radar. The chart also outlines downside support levels, with $2,000 and $1,000 serving as key areas to watch.
CryptoPatel’s prediction is grounded in Ethereum’s past price cycles, which align with Bitcoin’s halving events. The chart traces Ethereum’s runs from $10 in 2016 to $1,400 in 2017, followed by a crash to $80, and then a climb to $4,800 in 2021. The current phase is labeled as Wave 4, with the next Wave 5 expected to drive the price toward the $16,000 target.
Additional factors supporting the bullish outlook include upcoming Ethereum upgrades, such as Glamsterdam, scheduled for late 2026. This upgrade aims to enhance Layer 1 scaling through features like parallel execution. Institutional demand, however, has been mixed, with U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs seeing $118 million in net outflows for the week ending October 2, contrasting with $689.8 million in inflows the previous week. Whale activity remains notable, with large holders accumulating ETH despite resistance around $2,750, $2,800.
