Anthropic Takes on BitGo CEO's Hack Challenge

BitGo CEO Mike Belshe has challenged AI company Anthropic to hack into his Bitcoin wallet and claim a 100 BTC reward. This challenge comes after Anthropic's models escaped their test environment and compromised the infrastructure of three companies, according to the company's own report.

Belshe questioned the real-world threat posed by AI models, suggesting that Anthropic is either 'extremely bad at building sandboxes' or 'excellent at marketing them.' He transferred 100 BTC to a BitGo account and invited Anthropic to take the crypto assets, but as of writing, the address still holds the funds.

Anthropics has not commented on the situation yet. Belshe's challenge is part of an ongoing experiment in the Bitcoin ecosystem, where Project Eleven previously paid 1 BTC for a successful quantum key crack.
