Apple and Google Post Job Openings for Stablecoin Experts
Two tech giants, Apple and Google, have recently posted job openings that indicate they are exploring stablecoin technology. The postings, which were made public in September 2026, seek experts with knowledge of stablecoins, tokenized deposits, and blockchain technology.
The Apple posting, which was made on August 26, is for a Head of Financial Product Strategy role at Apple Pay, while the Google posting seeks an Industry Principal Architect, Web3, to support its cloud business in Hong Kong. Both roles require expertise in stablecoin payment networks, tokenized deposits, and digital asset custody.
While neither company has announced plans to issue a token or launch a new payment service, the job postings suggest that they are studying digital asset infrastructure for payments and finance. Apple's focus appears to be on consumer services, while Google is targeting institutional Web3 and digital asset infrastructure in Asia-Pacific.
