Arc Overtakes Near Protocol in DEX Rankings with 30-Day Surge
Arc, the institutional stablecoin-native blockchain launched by Circle, has surged past Near Protocol in the decentralized exchange (DEX) rankings. Over the past 30 days, Arc attracted 347,640 unique traders, narrowly edging out Near Protocol’s 321,570 traders. This shift places Arc at number eight on CoinMarketCap’s All Chains Leaderboard, just ahead of Near Protocol.
The gap between the two chains is small but significant. Arc’s rise is notable given its broader ecosystem, with 100 DEXs compared to Near Protocol’s two. However, Near Protocol’s total DEX liquidity remains far larger at $19.65 billion, dwarfing Arc’s $332 million. Arc’s liquidity has seen a staggering 9,639% increase, though this growth is attributed to a very low starting point.
Arc’s performance highlights a broader trend of shifting dynamics in the DEX landscape. Other chains like Robinhood’s blockchain and Anubis have also shown significant growth. Solana, however, remains dominant with $218.21 billion in liquidity and 16.76 million traders. The key question now is whether Arc can sustain its momentum or if its recent surge is just a temporary spike driven by incentives.
While Arc’s trader count is impressive, the real test will be whether it can attract more substantial trading volumes. For now, observers should watch to see if Arc can maintain its lead and whether Near Protocol can reclaim its position in the coming weeks.
