Arch Lending Targets Tokenized Stock Loans Market
Arch Lending, a cryptocurrency lending institution, plans to expand into tokenized stock loans, according to its co-founder and Chief Revenue Officer Himanshu Sahay.
In an interview on Cointelegraph's Chain Reaction podcast, Sahay stated that the company aims to enter this market 'soon' and highlighted growing demand for tokenized stock credit. He noted that while tokenized stocks have grown rapidly over the past year, lending options for these assets remain limited.
Arch has been expanding its lending business from cryptocurrencies to tokenized real-world assets, with recent products backed by Paxos Gold and Tether Gold. However, cryptocurrencies still dominate Arch's existing loan portfolio, with Bitcoin holding a majority share of over 80%.
Sahay also mentioned an increase in interest for XRP as collateral, particularly from American borrowers.
