Arcus pTokens Bring Leveraged Bitcoin Exposure to Robinhood Chain
Robinhood Chain's recent launch has been gaining traction quickly, surpassing $600 million in total value locked and processing over $26 billion in cumulative decentralized exchange trading volume. Arcus pTokens have now launched on this chain, offering traders the ability to tokenize perpetual futures contracts into ordinary-looking ERC-20 tokens. This means that leveraged Bitcoin exposure is now available without ever directly operating a margin account or posting collateral.
pTokens represent pro-rata ownership stakes in underlying Arcus perpetuals accounts, locked to a fixed market and set leverage ratio. Traders can buy and sell these tokens just like any spot token, gaining leveraged exposure without the operational overhead of managing margin. The initial offerings include pBTC and pBTC3x for 1x and 3x Bitcoin exposure, as well as pHOOD3x for 3x long exposure to Robinhood stock.
The Arcus team has developed this protocol in collaboration with Robinhood Crypto, utilizing the same technology stack as Arbitrum's layer-2 Ethereum network. The result is a scalable and secure solution that can handle high trading volumes while providing traders with new opportunities for leveraged exposure.
