Armstrong Reaffirms $400,000 Bitcoin Outlook for 2030

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong has reaffirmed his long-term outlook for Bitcoin, stating that he continues to stand by a previous projection that the asset could reach a valuation of $400,000 by 2030.

Armstrong's forecast is rooted in the recurring nature of Bitcoin's market cycles, which have historically aligned with the protocol's supply halving events. These events occur approximately every four years and serve to reduce the reward for mining new blocks, effectively tightening the supply of new coins entering the market.

The CEO explained that these cycles have consistently featured significant rallies followed by corrective periods that typically last about a year. By extrapolating these patterns, Armstrong suggested that Bitcoin could reach approximately three times its previous all-time high within the next few years.

However, he was careful to frame this as a hypothetical scenario rather than a financial certainty, acknowledging that historical performance does not guarantee future results and that the $400,000 target remains subject to a wide range of macroeconomic and regulatory variables.
