Arthur Hayes, co-founder of BitMEX, is back in the crypto scene after announcing his retirement less than a month ago. He will now serve as CEO of Flop Labs, a new venture focused on building the Flop Network and its native FLOP token.

The Flop Network aims to be the payment and infrastructure layer for the agentic economy, where autonomous AI agents buy compute, inference, and decentralized memory, and transact with each other without human approval. Miners will earn FLOP by executing real AI inference workloads, while validators verify the results.

Flop Labs is planning a 100% fair launch with no presale or venture capital allocation. A large airdrop is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026, followed by the genesis block in the first quarter of 2027.
