Assange's X Return Sparks JUSTICE Price Jump Amid Low Trading Volume
Julian Assange's return to X after two years of silence has sent shockwaves through the crypto market, particularly affecting the native token of AssangeDAO, JUSTICE. The token skyrocketed fourfold in a couple of hours, with its price increasing from $0.0000181 to $0.00008491.
This rally comes as Assange returned to X on Thursday, sharing a post by Wikileaks and prompting welcome messages from bitcoiners. 'I'm back,' Assange posted, fueling the JUSTICE price rally.
AssangeDAO raised $53 million in 2022 to support Assange's legal defense. The organization was formed to bid on a one-of-one NFT made by digital artist Pak in collaboration with Assange, and the funds were used by the Wau Holland Foundation to pay for his legal costs.
While JUSTICE is still down 97% from its all-time high, the rally was also fueled by the token's negligible trading volume. The price jump was a result of low liquidity, as the token's trading volume stood at around $600 over the previous 24 hours before the rally.
