Augur's REP Token Migration Deadline Looms with Only One-Third Migrated

Augur, an Ethereum-based prediction market protocol, is set to undergo a significant migration of its REP tokens. The deadline for this migration is August 1, 2026, and so far, only about one-third of all REP tokens have been migrated to the new REPv2_Yes_1 token.

The migration window opened in June 2026, giving REP holders roughly two months to swap their legacy tokens using the official migration tool hosted at augurfork.eth.limo. However, with barely a week left before the deadline, it appears that many users have not taken action yet.

Coinbase has issued a warning to its customers stating that they will not execute REP migrations on behalf of users. This means that anyone holding REP on Coinbase needs to move their tokens to a self-custody wallet and handle the swap themselves before August 1, 2026, or risk ending up with a functionally obsolete token.

Augur previously went through a REPv2 migration in 2020 following a major platform upgrade. This time around, about 3.7 million REP tokens have successfully migrated, which is roughly 33.6% of the total 11 million supply.
