Aurum Foundation: Regulators Flag Ponzi Scheme Characteristics in Multi-Jurisdictional Warning
The Aurum Foundation, a Dubai-based cryptocurrency platform operating under the NEYRO brand name, has been flagged by multiple regulators for exhibiting characteristics consistent with Ponzi schemes and conducting unlicensed financial activities.
The company marketed itself as an AI-driven investment platform offering daily returns of 0.3% to 0.9%, translating to advertised monthly profits of 15-20%. A $1,000 investment at the advertised 20% monthly compounded return would theoretically grow to over $708,000 within three years.
Regulators in Russia, Nigeria, Hong Kong, New Zealand, and several European nations have issued warnings regarding Aurum Foundation. The Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission added it to its warning list of suspicious virtual asset trading platforms in June 2026, noting the company claims registration under Hong Kong's Companies Ordinance while holding no license from the SFC.
Investigations have identified the involvement of individuals previously associated with collapsed Ponzi schemes. CEO Bryan Benson has a history of failed ventures, and marketing personnel include Ahmad Zen, a former promoter of the Earn World Ponzi, and Sal Khan, previously involved with the collapsed TLC Trading scheme.
