Avalanche Blockchain Secures 15M+ Kenyan Academic Records
Kenya's National Examinations Council has digitized over 15 million academic records on the Avalanche blockchain, replacing slow paper-based certificate checks with a fast electronic verification system.
Nearly one million 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) certificates are now issued exclusively through this platform, allowing students and institutions to access and verify credentials online instantly.
The system aims to eventually cover about 35 million records, including primary, secondary, advanced diplomas, and teacher-training certificates, significantly reducing verification times from months to seconds and combating certificate forgery.
