Bank of America Amasses Record $94M in XRP Holdings
The world's second-largest bank by market capitalization, Bank of America Corporation (NYSE: BAC), has increased its holdings in various cryptocurrencies. The bank boosted its XRP holdings to $94 million in net exposure through exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in the second quarter of 2026.
The Volatility Shares XRP ETF (Nasdaq ticker: XRPI) is one of the instruments used by Bank of America to hold 13,260 shares of XRP. The bank also holds stakes in other cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Solana (SOL).
The bank has fully exited its Solana holdings in the last quarter, selling all 10,296 shares of Volatility Shares Solana ETF (Nasdaq: SOLZ) from its portfolio. In contrast to its trimmed holdings in crypto companies like Strategy (Nasdaq: MSTR), Bank of America raised its Bitcoin holdings by 77% through BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (Nasdaq: IBIT).
