Bank of Montreal Bolsters XRP Optimism Amid Regulatory Uncertainty
XRP's price has been hovering around $1 after a modest increase following Bank of Montreal's expression of interest in the token. This comes as major financial institutions are formally acknowledging and gaining exposure to XRP, paving the way for broader adoption.
The Bank of Montreal disclosed its cryptocurrency holdings in a U.S. SEC filing, which represents a significant step toward normalisation in traditional finance. Although the direct XRP exposure via ETFs is modest at $2,970 total, this is seen as an early exploratory step rather than a major capital allocation.
The market anticipates price recovery after XRP failed to fall deeply below $1 for long, and signals that institutional investors would start to increase positions via exchange-traded funds (ETFs). Yesterday, only the Bitwise $XRP ETF experienced net inflows, with a single-day net inflow of $2.2531 million.
