Bianco Sees Macro Shifts Fueling Bitcoin Adoption
Jim Bianco of Bianco Research believes that the recent Federal Reserve hike and the sharp rise in long-term yields to 5% from 3.7% are signs that the bond market had been signaling tightening for two years.
This, he says, is unusual because during previous cutting cycles, long-term yields fell, not rose.
The October 28 decision, just one week before the midterms, may have more significance than Wall Street expects, according to Bianco.
He links these macro dynamics to cryptocurrency, noting that development activity and DeFi summer helped drive Bitcoin adoption.
Bianco criticizes the buildout of Bitcoin ETFs for missing the plot, instead arguing that stablecoins, Tether's use in Venezuela and Afghanistan, and real Treasury demand are critical for token adoption and market impact.
