Big Tech Joins Crypto Talent Hunt Amid Stablecoin Boom
Apple and Google are making significant moves in the crypto space by recruiting senior professionals with expertise in stablecoins, tokenized deposits, and blockchain technology. According to recent job listings, Apple is looking for a Financial Product Strategy Lead for its Apple Pay division, while Google Cloud is hiring an Industry Principal Architect for Web3 based in Hong Kong.
The openings suggest that both companies are building internal knowledge around digital-asset infrastructure, even if neither has announced plans to launch their own stablecoin or new blockchain-based products. Apple's role involves developing long-term strategy and evaluating new growth opportunities, while Google's Industry Principal Architect will support institutional clients across the Asia-Pacific region.
The hires reflect broader industry momentum as interest in stablecoins and tokenization accelerates. Stablecoin market capitalization has reached approximately $308 billion by mid-2026, with Tether's USDT and Circle's USDC accounting for more than 80% of stablecoin assets.
