Binance Affiliates Sue RedotPay Founders Over Alleged User Diversion
Three Binance-affiliated companies have taken RedotPay's founders to court in Hong Kong, claiming that they diverted over 470,000 users from Binance's payment network. The lawsuit, filed by Nest Trading Ltd., DistributedTechnologies Ltd., and Chaintecs Consulting Singapore Pte, alleges that RedotPay's co-founders Gao Zhangpeng, Chan Wa Choi, and Yao Chao breached a commercial agreement signed in March 2025.
The agreement allowed RedotPay to access Binance users while extending Binance Pay across the payment network. However, the plaintiffs claim that RedotPay encouraged customers to use their balances for card top-ups without separating those funds from prohibited payment activity.
Roughly $304 million allegedly moved from Binance Pay users into the RedotPay ecosystem through this arrangement, according to the lawsuit. The plaintiffs estimate a lifetime value of $925 per diverted customer, producing a damages claim of $472.8 million.
