Binance App Disappears from EU Google Play Stores Amid MiCA License Issues
The Binance mobile app has disappeared from Google Play stores in several European Union countries due to its failure to obtain an MiCA license. The development is closely tied to new regulations that require cryptocurrency exchanges to have an MiCA license to operate within the EU.
Google's official documentation confirms that starting July 2026, only exchanges with an MiCA license can display their apps in EU Google Play stores.
Binance is one of several exchanges affected by the change. It had initially applied for an MiCA license in Greece but withdrew its application before it was approved. The company has since attempted to reapply through another EU member state, but the process has yet to be completed.
As a result, Binance users in countries like Spain and Hungary are currently unable to download the app from Google Play.
