Binance Holdings Ltd., the world’s largest crypto exchange, announced that its chief financial officer, Kaiser Ng, is stepping down. The move comes just days after hackers stole over $6 billion in cryptocurrency from the company. Ng, who has been with Binance for more than five years, will be leaving to pursue a new venture. According to Binance co-Chief Executive Officer Yi He, a transition plan for Ng’s departure has been in place for the last half year.

Justin Yek has been named as Ng’s successor, taking over as the firm’s new CFO. In a statement, Yi He expressed well-wishes for Ng’s future endeavors, stating, “We wish him the best in his next chapter.” The announcement did not provide further details on the circumstances surrounding Ng’s departure or Yek’s background.
