Binance Crypto Asset Migration Begins September 29
Binance will begin transferring users' cryptocurrency assets from Funding Accounts to Spot Accounts on September 29, separating crypto holdings from the account used for stock and stock-options trading settlement.
The migration is expected to continue through January 2027. During this time, Funding Accounts will stop accepting on-chain deposits. After the migration period ends, each Funding Account will be renamed the Stocks Account and will only be used for settling stock and stock-options trades.
USD, USDC, USDT, USD1, U, and BNB will remain eligible for stock-trading settlement in the Stocks Accounts. Other crypto assets will be handled through Spot Accounts for deposits and withdrawals. Users will have a one-click option to move their assets ahead of schedule.
