Binance Drops $100M in Circle as Stablecoin Partnership Deepens
Binance, the world's largest crypto exchange, has invested $100 million in Circle Internet Group, a stablecoin giant.
The investment is part of a new five-year agreement between the two companies to promote USDC, the second-largest stablecoin with a market value of about $75 billion. Binance will integrate USDC into its existing and new savings and investment products, offering incentives such as lower fees on key USDC trading pairs.
Circle first partnered with Binance in 2024, agreeing to pay the exchange a one-time fee of $60.25 million. This new deal sees Circle doubling down on its strategy of working closely with crypto exchange heavyweights to boost usage of USDC.
