Binance Ends Sophon Mainnet Support, Migrates to ERC-20
Binance has announced it will discontinue support for the Sophon (SOPH) token on its native mainnet, directing holders to migrate their assets to the ERC-20 network.
The exchange will temporarily suspend deposits and withdrawals via the ERC-20 network at 8:00 a.m. UTC on Aug. 4 to facilitate the transition.
According to Binance's official statement, existing SOPH tokens held on the Sophon mainnet will be automatically migrated to the ERC-20 standard at a 1:1 ratio.
The migration marks a strategic shift for the Sophon project, moving its token infrastructure from a custom mainnet to the widely adopted Ethereum ERC-20 standard.
For holders, the change means improved compatibility with existing Ethereum wallets, decentralized applications (dApps), and exchange listings.
The 1:1 swap ratio ensures no loss of value during the transition, but users must act before the deadline to avoid potential complications.
