Binance Launches Foreign Exchange Perpetual Futures with 100x Leverage
Binance has expanded its derivatives business to include foreign exchange perpetual futures, offering traders continuous access to currency markets without expiration dates or contract rollovers.
The first contract, USDBRLUSDT, is against the Brazilian real and settles in USDT. Trading will start on September 21st at 14:00 UTC with a maximum leverage of 100x.
'FX is one of the world's most foundational markets,' said Shunyet Jan, Binance's Head of Exchange and Trading.
To support its 24/7 contracts, Binance has developed a dual pricing system. During normal trading hours, it uses a weighted average of prices from third-party sources. On weekends and during public holidays, it switches to an order book-based model called Orderbook EWMA mode.
