Binance Rolls Out Lite Loan With No Price-Trauma Liquidation for Smaller Borrowers
Binance has launched Lite Loan, a simplified borrowing product that lets eligible users obtain USDT immediately by pledging Bitcoin as collateral. The product sets a 1,000-USDT borrowing cap and a fixed 30-day term.
The initial 30-day term carries no price-triggered liquidation, allowing borrowers to manage their funds without worrying about sudden market fluctuations. However, overdue balances face a 36% annual penalty interest and liquidation risks.
Borrowers pay a nonrefundable service fee of 0.5%, which is reduced from the standard rate of 1%, for orders completed between August 4 at 10:00 UTC and September 3 at 09:59 UTC. The borrowed funds are available immediately and can be used both on and off the Binance platform.
The exchange stated that 'Borrowed funds are available immediately and can be used both on and off the Binance platform.' Collateralized crypto lending allows users to obtain liquidity while retaining exposure to pledged digital assets. Loan-to-value ratios determine how much borrowers can access and when collateral may become vulnerable to liquidation.
