Binance Sees $7 Billion Stablecoin Exodus Amid Liquidity Concerns
The crypto market is facing concerns over liquidity as Binance has recorded nearly $7 billion in net stablecoin outflows since the beginning of 2026. According to CryptoQuant data, this represents a significant shift from previous years when the exchange regularly saw large stablecoin inflows.
This trend suggests that traders are pulling liquidity out of exchanges instead of keeping funds ready to buy crypto. However, it's worth noting that some capital is being redirected into yield-generating stablecoins and tokenized real-world assets, rather than leaving the market entirely.
Despite the decline in stablecoin reserves, Bitcoin has managed to stay above $60,000, with Darkfost from CryptoQuant observing that the current cycle remains stronger than previous ones. However, history also suggests that August can be a weak month for Bitcoin during U.S. midterm election years.
