Binance Sees Largest Bitcoin Outflows in Over Three Years
Binance experienced its largest Bitcoin outflows in over three years during the final week of September, according to new data from CryptoQuant. The exchange saw a net outflow of 23,137 BTC in the seven days ending September 27, marking the highest weekly outflow since June 2023. This significant withdrawal suggests a shift toward long-term investment behavior, as moving Bitcoin off exchanges typically signals accumulation.
The outflows contributed to a nearly 40,000 BTC drop in Binance's Bitcoin reserves since September 20. CryptoQuant noted that similar conditions in June 2023 preceded a price surge from $26,300 to $30,500, hinting at potential upside for Bitcoin's current range-bound trading between $82,500 and $87,400. The analytics firm attributed this to fading sellers and growing accumulation.
Meanwhile, large-volume whale entities increased their stablecoin inflows to Binance by 40% from mid-August to the end of September, rising from $21.7 billion to $30.5 billion. This behavior suggests mounting interest in increasing capital exposure to cryptoassets, following a lull after October 2025's all-time highs. Stablecoin supply on exchanges is seen as 'dry powder' awaiting deployment into cryptocurrencies.
