Binance.US Introduces Self-Custody Wallet for US Users
Binance.US has expanded its services with the launch of Binance.US Wallet, a self-custody wallet available to eligible iOS and Android users in the United States.
The new wallet allows users to switch between the exchange and wallet without leaving the app, providing access to tens of thousands of tokens and hundreds of decentralized applications across various blockchain networks, including Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base, Arbitrum, Polygon, Solana, and Robinhood Chain.
Binance.US Wallet uses a key-sharding system instead of a traditional recovery phrase. This means that users' access keys are divided among their device, personal cloud storage, and Binance.US, requiring at least two key shares to access the wallet. Binance.US holds only one share.
Users can export their private keys at any time or import an existing wallet's recovery phrase, giving them direct control over wallet access while keeping the wallet within the exchange's mobile application.
