Binance's $100M Bet on Circle Sparks PayFi Revolution
Remittix is working to bridge the gap between crypto and traditional finance by allowing users to transfer funds from their crypto wallets directly to their bank accounts. This comes as Binance invests $100 million in Circle, a company that issues USDC, a stablecoin used for transactions on Binance's exchange.
The investment is part of a renewed five-year commercial agreement between Binance and Circle, which aims to expand the use of digital dollars in real-world transactions. The partnership highlights the growing importance of stablecoins in facilitating seamless transfers and trading for customers.
Remittix's PayFi network seeks to address the final hurdle in making crypto usable outside exchanges, transferring funds from a wallet to a bank account. By enabling users to send and receive payments across over 30 target currencies, Remittix aims to capture a significant share of the global remittance market, which reached $856 billion in 2024.
