Bitcoin Accumulation Surges as $3.3 Billion Exits Binance
Despite concerns of an impending Bitcoin (BTC) crash, recent data suggests significant accumulation activity. Analyst Darkfost highlighted on X that nearly 40,000 BTC, worth about $3.3 billion, have left Binance's reserves over the past 15 days. This substantial outflow coincides with Bitcoin consolidating around the $85,000 mark.
The latest daily readings show nearly 14,300 BTC exiting Binance, surpassing the previous week's outflow of 13,800 BTC. The weekly figures are even more notable, with 23,100 BTC leaving the exchange last week, the strongest weekly net outflows since June 2023. This represents roughly $1.4 billion in accumulation within a single week.
Binance's reserves have dropped from 704,800 BTC on September 20 to 663,100 BTC, indicating a major reduction in available exchange-held supply. Analysts view these exchange outflows as potential indicators of long-term holding behavior, though they caution that outflows alone do not guarantee price increases.
The current outflow pattern mirrors a period in 2023 when Bitcoin was recovering from a bear market. For now, the accumulation is occurring alongside price consolidation near $85,000, with fading sellers suggesting a setup for a potential move out of the current range.
