Bitcoin and Ethereum Must Surge Past Current Levels to Maintain Uptrend
Aksel Kibar, a former fund manager, has warned against Bitcoin and Ethereum falling below their May 2026 peak. Despite both cryptocurrencies losing significant market capitalization over the past 24 hours, Kibar emphasized that they need to move away from current levels quickly to continue their recent bull market.
Kibar highlighted a major weekly support level at around $82,800 for Bitcoin, which was previously a strong resistance level since BTC's capitulation to $60,000 in February. He also noted that Ethereum's price has broken its May 2026 apex and must rocket over the coming weeks to maintain its uptrend.
According to Kibar, Ethereum needs to hold above its support range between $2,550 and $2,350 to register more weekly upsides. Bitcoin and Ethereum have seen a decline of nearly 2.27% and 2.72%, respectively, over the past seven days, with their market capitalization standing at around $1.7 trillion and $450 billion.
