Bitcoin and XRP Dip as NEAR and Quant Show Strength
Bitcoin (BTC) closed October 5 at $85,751.50 on Kraken, down 0.88% from the previous day. Despite reaching a session high of $86,973.60, the cryptocurrency retreated, maintaining its pattern of approaching late-September resistance without a sustained breakout. The 20-day simple moving average for Bitcoin rose to $83,365.08, providing support as the price remains above this level. A daily close above $86,973.60 would confirm a breakout, with further resistance at $87,229, $87,446.70.
XRP ended October 5 at $1.50748, down 0.83% from the prior session. While its high of $1.53087 tested the lower edge of resistance, the daily close remained below this boundary. The Wilder RSI (14) eased to 57.04, indicating cooling momentum but not an oversold signal. Key support levels are at $1.48629 and $1.47398, with a close below the latter shifting focus to $1.44698. A breakout would require a close above $1.53087, followed by $1.56056.
NEAR rebounded 7.61% to close at $5.2903, extending its recovery from the October 2 low. The price remains below early-October and late-September highs, with Fibonacci retracement levels indicating potential resistance at $5.3274. A close above this level would strengthen the recovery toward $5.5281, while a drop below $5.1698 would weaken the bullish outlook.
Solana (SOL) closed at $120.76, down 0.67%, and remains within its Bollinger Bands, above the midpoint at $116.237. A close above $122.25 would improve the short-term structure, with further resistance at $123.74 and $124.91. Support begins around $118.50, with a close below exposing the recent lows and the Bollinger midpoint.
Quant (QNT) gained 4.16% to close at $262.88, recovering from a low of $245.43. The MACD histogram contracted for five consecutive sessions, signaling slower positive momentum. A close above $269.99 would improve the recovery, with $278.28 the next test. Conversely, a drop below $245.43 would expose $237.31 and weaken the bullish scenario.
